This is a
continuing collection of ideas and
possibilities that lead directly to electric
transportation ... or support the idea.
Wouldn't
it be great if these guys would actually,
FINALLY! - build it?
Aptera has experienced MANY delays ... will
they finally start selling these cars?
Wouldn't
it be great if Nissan were to take the LEAF
technology and put it in the Nissan Z
package with a boost? "Look
Ma, no exhaust pipes."
bottom
line: Watch out Tesla!
Like
most guys, I like trucks. I have owned
trucks and used them as trucks should be
used. My trucks were used for construction,
towing, hauling, spinning a 360, out on the
trails, hill climbing and whatever. Most of
the time though, I used it for general transportation
and now with extended cab and crew cabs,
it's a useful car as well.
So, for those times that I drive to
Starbucks and go get groceries, I do not
need the giant gasoline (OPEC-boost) engine. My buddies
were really crying the blues when gas was
$4.50 a gallon and
they were in their only car, a truck (and
most of the time running errands with no
load). Most
of the time when I see a pickup truck, it
has one driver and it is not fully loaded.
It seems to
me, wouldn't it be great if your new, just as
macho, strong (not tinfoil) and incredible or even more
so, truck was a Hybrid and came with an
electric motor capable of powering the truck
70-80 miles per hour freeway and a range of
about 80-100 miles electric mode only by
charging the truck overnight in your garage.
Now, hook up the boat or a load and call on the
giant gasoline (OPEC-Boost) engine if you are hill
climbing or going long distance and maybe
add the electric capabilities at the same
time for Ultra Torque (TM)! And,
bonus, as a contractor, I tap into that
giant battery and no temporary power pole. I
charge all my battery tools in factory
sockets (the factory DeWalt, Ryobi or Rigid
OEM E150) that tap the truck battery and use
all electric power tools and extension cords
right from the truck! Need a generator
because the battery is low?, call on the (OPEC-Boost)
gasoline engine to charge in place. Now,
that is a truck! Are we playing to win?
Recently,
I visited the 2009 San Diego Auto Show where
I asked a major auto manufacturer truck
representative about such an idea. I said,
"Wouldn't it be great if your next
truck was a Hybrid and came with an electric
motor capable of powering the truck 70-80
miles per hour freeway and a range of about
80-100 miles electric mode only by charging the
truck overnight in your garage. At that
time, he said that currently there are no
plans for that but that the new truck was
about 100 pounds lighter and had a 'special
boost' engine that delivered 2? more miles per
gallon. wow.
bottom
line: New body styling, same old
gasoline or diesel truck. Gas and oil are climbing.
Hybrid technologies are out there. That
first hybrid truck is going to sell like hot
cakes! I would
drive a truck again if it were a plug-in
electric mode only capable - hybrid.
HO-Hum...Same old
marketing, same old truck, I have to call it the
'OPEC-Boost' engine.
Cadillac brought out the Cadillac
Converj concept at one of the major
auto shows. What a beautiful car based on
the GM Volt power train and
electronics. The Converj is truly an
example of "Wouldn't if be great
if".
bottom
line: My opinion, cars like
this would save GM. I believe that we
are finally seeing these ideas this
far along because GM needs money and
has to do this. So, get it out
there. Build this and they will
come.
Now,
wouldn't it be great if there was a
Converj-ible model as well.
Hey
honey, twins!
Speaking of
solar, wouldn't it be great to have a solar
garage - with twins. Here in
SoCal, Southern California, the sun shines
most of the time. The price of the small 4
person electric cars that are promised in
the future keeps climbing. Perhaps it is the
$7,500 tax credit that may be available with
the vehicle. Large auto manufacturers say,
we can up the price because the consumer
will get a tax rebate anyway. "Let's
just add a little bit more"...So, what will
the final price be for a small plug-in
electric vehicles capable of freeway
speeds?
If the cars
were inexpensive enough, check this out. A
solar garage with twins! You have 1 for
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Church. And
2 will be used for Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. If
the range is long enough, you might only
change cars once a week.
bottom
line: I suppose it would be easier to
just swap batteries if you had a system but
I'm just say'n, Wouldn't it be great if you
had an off grid solar garage and relatively
free transportation energy after the setup!
Here's
one a little off topic but it has to be
said.
Living in Southern California and coming
from years in Seattle, you pay attention to
water both ways. Last year our area in
Southern California had the 30%
reduction in usage or a fine. This year an
additional 10% cut or fines and you can
water a lawn that you might have Monday,
Wednesday and at certain times in the early
morning.. When it rains here, the genius
water management minds here gather all of
the storm water and pee it directly out to
the ocean, do not pass go and do not collect
the $200. And by the way, come summer
months, cut back and fines again.
Just an idea
but, in Seattle we had salmon ladders to
help the fish climb up a steeper area in the
streams, locks and rivers. How about the
reverse of this idea for the storm drain
areas here. We have created dams in canyons
to create lakes for water supplies. Wouldn't it be great if
this same idea were used for these storm
channels to create in city reservoirs. The
water would be recaptured and used to
irrigate business landscapes and parks
instead of it coming from the city water
systems. It could also be purified and used
in other applications. The solution might be
a man made lake that you can slowly drain
with use during the summer months. The lakes
would run through the cities filled with
mosquito fish or other species.
Come rainy season, fill 'er up.
This article
would fit in the electric car category by
noting that using gasoline vehicles, the oil
dripped into parking spaces and dripped on
the highways would not be part of the water
collected in these man made lakes. When you
have a chance, take a look at the empty
parking spaces located closest to the stores
front door.
bottom
line: How can you justify one new
residential building permit in this entire
area if the water management mentality is to
cut and not create? Do we build more and cut
the current infrastructure water supply
further? Where is the leadership and the
growth potential to grow the supply of fresh
water? Hmmmm....sounds familiar, continue
with gasoline or create new electric
technologies for local commuters and
growth?
Here's
another one a little off topic
but it has to be
said.
3.0%
mortgage.
Wouldn't it be great if there is a one
time sale available for signup for 6
months.
So, why not a
2.75% or 3% mortgage sale to those who
qualify? Let's say a FICO score of 720 or
better. Is it because it is a bottom up solution
that would really fix the problem and the
boys at the top don't get to control
the big cash?
Although we do not like debt,
if you have to finance your next
plug-in electric vehicle, and you hold a
mortgage of some size, this would
allow you to do so easily. Remember
that you will also cut your current gas spending
greatly. This would drastically
increase new vehicle sales. So, Why
not? Why can't we demand
it? Who controls the
rates? Wouldn't it be a natural?
It would increase monthly consumer
spending.
If you had the
option to convert your existing mortgage
to a lower rate, say 3%. A true 3%. No
APY or APR or anything AP-else. 3%.
You would
have more disposable income each
month. If the current Administration
would offer this relief, we believe
that the middle class would refinance,
investors would snap up real estate
and the Fed could stimulate any losses
to pension or other funds at that
time. You would not be filling
landfills by bulldozing new houses.
Financial crisis bottomed.
But here we are.
Is it time to pull
all of any money that you have in a
local or national bank and move money
to a credit union?
Here is a look at
the Historical - Intended federal
funds rate Change and level. Notice
the December 2008 figures. Should this
not allow a decreased rate somewhere?
Mortgage rates were 5.5-6.ish% or higher
back in 2005 - 2006 when the Fed Fund
rate was 4-5%. Now the Fed Fund rate is 0
-.25%! We keep hearing how bad
the economy is.. Wouldn't this allow
some real relief (finally) for the
middle class?
1+1=
5...? (New math)
LATEST
.. What?
Hey... this is November 24,
2009...
.. and this was earlier this
year in May, 2009.
One in 5 in May, One in 4 in
November.. see a trend?
...and more control the debt
action...
and...
and
- what?
So, why not a
2.75% or 3% mortgage sale to those who
qualify?
End it. Done.
Now combine this
information with the billions in
stimulus packages that are being
spent, and the constant conversation
about 'toxic assets' and when the 'toxic assets'
are gone and the
politicians telling us "what the
American people want" ..
..and finally...
We hope that you don't
get sick on this one.. we hear that
this is happening in many locations to
new properties...look at the video
below ..
Take a look at this
video.... Into the land fills the brand
new housing goes -Hey! .. we
DO NOT want anyone to get a deal from
a bank! after all....banks don't lose,
they just get taken over and
continue!
You,
we, own the Fed banks that have been taken
over such as Fannie and Freddie. What is the program?
bottom
line: If you just cut
everyone a check, the money supply
would inflate and collapse, however;
the 3% mortgage program suggested here
would
immediately release new funds to the
economy through a large number of
people as they refinance but the
consumer would still be invested in
the economy through real estate. It
would give most mortgage owners some real
money every month for 30 or remaining years
on their mortgage freeing millions and billions of
dollars into the economy each month. Step2
- Now stimulate any pension &
small percentage losses for those
invested in mortgages ..DONE
Banks won't like
this program but, the banks would be financing new
plug-in electric cars and reducing our
reliance on imported foreign oil. win win.
For
the long run, The People of
the United States should demand with their
wallets, plug-in all electric and hybrid
cars for local commuter
transportation, trucks, infrastructure, movements, links,
sponsors and other plug-in electric devices
to replace foreign oil and eventually harness
domestic solar, wind and other alternative
energy solutions. We promote the
constructive and positive channeling
of anger for 'U.S. no option' high gas
prices. We promote the constructive
and positive channeling of anger for
poor and non existing leadership in
current major financial and automotive
markets. We believe in personal
accountability, leadership, less
personal and national debt and more
